The Quiet Harvest: Tom Keesecker in Concert

  • November 10, 2019 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for Tom Keesecker in Concert Nov. 10 at 6 pm in the Faith Center. You’ll enjoy piano music, hymn singing, stories, poetry and laughter!

Tom has served as a musician in both Lutheran and Roman Catholic parishes in Virginia, Montana, and Maryland. His award-winning choral music is published by several publishers. His studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Catholic University School of Music in Washington, D.C. prepared him for a career in which he has mixed classical technique and jazz improvisation.

“The Quiet Harvest” is one of four hymn-based, reflective pieces Keesecker has written and published on the seasons of the church calendar. The fifth and final will be published in spring 2020. Hymns featured in the “The Quiet Harvest” include: “Praise and Thanksgiving,” “Let All Things Now Living,” “Beautiful Savior,” “Over the River and Through the Wood,” and others.

Tom’s comfortable concert manner adds a ‘Garrison Keillor, A Prairie Home Companion style’ touch to his concerts!

“It’s like church, only more fun because I get to crack jokes.”– Tom Keesecker
