Christmas Movie Matinee: Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Faith Center, 1:30 pm
The movie is The Shop Around the Corner, featuring Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan.
Two employees at a gift shop can barely stand each other, without realizing that they are falling in love through the post as each other's anonymous pen pal. Like the movie “A Wonderful Life,” the setting is a cozy shop in a small neighborhood. Another similarity is the characters must endure hardship before being redeemed at Christmas. Bring your favorite drink with a screw on top and popcorn, plus other holiday refreshments will be provided.
The entry fee is a donation to the St. John’s Child Development Center. The items they need are listed below.
- A children’s book
- Art Supplies (paint, construction paper, crayons, markers, etc.)
- Playdoh
- Scholarship Money for student’s in need
- Kleenex
- Wipes
- Small white boards and white board markers
