Updates from Escuela Integrada

On April 18, students at Escuela Integrada de Ninos     Trabajadores attended classes in person for the first time in more than 2 years. The excitement was hard to       contain!

Students are attending in two groups, with half of the students coming to school in the morning and the other half attending in the afternoon, Monday thru Thursday. Teachers have a workday on Friday.

We are so grateful to have students in the classroom again and look forward to the day the Ministry of         Education approves full days. Thanks to all of our GRACES supporters and sponsors for their generous assistance during the pandemic and ongoing.  We could not have done it without you.

Anyone interested in attending an in-person Vision Trip to Guatemala? This trip may potentially be held in        August. You would get to experience Guatemala, as well as visit the new school, our students, and some of their homes.  We will distribute food bags  to some of the   families and possibly assist with the assembly of a new playground.  If interested, please contact Nancy Shirley,  a St. John’s member and GRACES Operations Manager at Nancy@wearegraces.org.
