Confirmation

STUDENT MINISTRY

Confirmation

Confirmation is a two-year faith experience for our students to connect faith and life so that they can faithfully navigate the transition from youth to adult. The middle school years are full of opportunity, challenge, and decisions during which teens lay the foundation for the rest of their lives. Our program invites students into deeper relationships with God and one another -while leaving room for a lot of fun along the way.

The program includes one 3-week introductory module during 6th Grade and six 4-week learning modules during 7th and 8th Grade, as well as, Sunday night youth group and retreats for our 7th and 8th Graders.

Everything you need to know about The Well: Confirmation is in our Confirmation Handbook. For more information contact Pastor James Demmel.

Summer Mission Trip

Every year, we look forward to our middle school mission trip. In 2020-2021, we took a break due to the pandemic.

In 2019, we went to Boone, NC where we were able to serve alongside community partners who work to provide sustainable aid. Some service projects included cutting wood for those who heat their home in Western, NC, assembling water filters to provide clean water for over ten years, as well as, serving at shelters, food banks, thrift stores and more.

Summer Mission Trip

Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.

Current 8th-11th graders are invited to sign up for the 2022 ELCA Youth Gathering, July 24-28, 2022.
