Knoxville Trip: Day 4

Blog 1:

Today I went to Wesley House and played with kids. The kids were very nice and we had a lot of fun, but the kids were very sad when we left. After I was done with lunch I went to KARM Thrift Store. I was putting things in boxes there to help out. My favorite part of the day was playing with kids. I had a very fun time at Wesley House. I saw God working in the teachers. They were very nice and loving to the kids.

Today I went to Wesley House, and I had so much fun because, I got to play with the sweetest kids. They love to color and were so interested in everything. My favorite part of the day was getting to experience something new which was, meeting new faces. I saw God working when I got to help a girl named Kenzie when she was sad.

Today I went to the Wesley House and KARM Thrift Warehouse. The Wesley House is a day school for kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I had the opportunity to dance with the middle schoolers and then play outside with kindergarteners and 1st graders. The KARM Thrift Warehouse is where we go to sort through everything that people donate to go to the KARM Thrift Strores. At the warehouse, I got to go through everything from candle holders to bedspreads! My favorite part of the day was playing with a 1st grader named Evelyn at the Wesley House. I saw God today in all of the teachers and staff at the Wesley House because they love the kids with everything they have.

I went to Ladies of Charity this morning and we sorted food at the food pantry and clothes. While we were sorting clothes I ran clothes from ones they put on hangers to where they needed to go on shelves. This afternoon I helped with Project LIVE. We pulled weeds and made some gardening look nice. While we were there the women’s house we worked at did a drawing to get rid of some her cups because she was grateful that we helped her. I got a YETI cup. My favorite moment of the day was when I saw people’s faces because we helped them. And I could really see God in their faces as they showed joy when they saw a kid willing to help them out.
