These are small groups that meet three times a month for study, rich conversation, deep friendship and service. The groups are populated out of our GroupLink event held every January & September. We desire to each member of St. John’s to plug into a LifeGroup as we know that faith is best nurtured in small group. So step out of your comfort zone and into a group.
We recognize the need for disciples to be trained through teaching. Our courses focus on areas that help us live into our baptism. Courses are offered in the areas of: Bible Literacy, Theology, Spiritual Disciplines, Social Justice & Peacemaking, Generosity, Discernment and Lutheranism. Each year’s line-up of classes will be available in August.
God’s people pray and we are seeking to equip you in praying — especially for our community and world. Coming July 2016, we will have a prayer room designated in the adult hallway with guided prayer stations. Check out more about our prayer ministry.
Resources & Tools
We know that it is important for disciples to be equipped. In this changing faith landscape, much of our learning is happening on the go and through technology. We are currently developing several tools to help you connect what you hear on Sunday to the rest of our week. We do encourage you to take advantage of our library that has a vast number of resources for study and growth.
Disciples make disciples. Growing as disciples leads us to grow in leadership and service. The main tool for this is known as Huddle – a year-long disciples group focused on leadership and growth in faith.
