The Walk event

Bible Study
Wednesdays, April 7-21, 7-8pm in the Well

When our Lenten sermon series is over, join us for a deeper dive into the 5 essential practices of the Christian life, beginning April 7, 7-8 pm in the Well.

Perhaps the sermon series teased you into thinking more carefully about the “practice” of being a Christian. This study goes deeper — to help us see how these practices set the stage for a truly abundant life. We’ll be using Adam Hamilton’s book, The Walk, upon which the sermon series is loosely based. The study is offered via Zoom and in-person, in the Well. We’ll be asking a core question: “How do we walk with Christ–daily follow him, grow in him, and faithfully serve him?” The answer comes as we look carefully at the life of Jesus and the writings of the earliest apostles. Together they lift up Christian practices that have been a part of the church’s spiritual life for over 2,000 years. “Each of these practices is intended as part of our daily walk with Christ,” says Danny Hines, “while also being an essential part of growing together in the church. Understanding these practices is a critical part of being a disciple.”
