The Winter Academy will be a 4-week series, Tuesdays, February 2-23, with Pastor Rhodes’ Bible Study from 10-11:30 am, lunch from 11:30 am -12:30 pm, and a “master’s class” in the afternoon. All classes will be in The Well and available on zoom.
There is no cost for attendance either onsite or via zoom meeting. A box lunch will be provided for those who purchase. Cost is $10. You may also bring your lunch.
Morning Bible Study: 10-11:30 am
Pastor Rhodes Woolly will again teach the bible study, the title of which is “The Walk: 5 Essential Practices for Christian Living.”

Afternoon “Masters Class”: 12:30 pm-2 pm
Dr. Gary Freeze, retired Professor of History at Catawba College, will provide a seminar entitled “Been There (Kinda), Done That (Sorta): The Way American History Repeats Itself,” on the historical precedents for the times in which we live.
Dr. Freeze will draw upon his 30 years of teaching American political culture to argue for a largely bipartisan, multicultural, regionalistic, perennialist understanding of how we got into our present predicament. The weekly titles are:
