"Hope for Today" is a new counseling ministry of St. John's.
St. John's offers a counseling ministry, Hope for Today, for those in the midst of life's struggles who might benefit from meeting one-on-one with a professional counselor. Individual counseling sessions are available to both St. John's members and members of the Salisbury community.
Each appointment is 50 min in length and will be held at St. John’s in the Prayer Room.

Counseling appointments are available to individuals both within and outside of the St. John’s Lutheran Church community. Each appointment is 50 min in length and will be held at St. John’s in . Appointments can be scheduled by either contacting Deborah in the church office or visiting our Hope for Today scheduling page: https://stjohns-counseling.youcanbook.me/
In order to ensure the long-term availability of this ministry, we ask that individuals give a $20 contribution for each individual appointment that they attend, as they are able. This contribution can be made either in person or online via St. John’s online donation page. Lauren Stephenson, MS, LCMHCA, NCC
Lauren currently works as a mental health counselor at Catawba College, where she sees students presenting a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief/loss, stress management, and relationship conflicts. She worked previously as a counselor in the counseling ministry office at The Crossing Church in Columbia, Missouri. Lauren received her M.S. in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010 and a B.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University in 2005. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys performing in local music and theatre productions and spending time with her two elementary-aged boys, Jeffrey and Emmett.
